Monsoon Movement in the Ghats

Monsoon birding rewards patience more than intensity. When the rain softened this week, activity switched on almost instantly.
A loose flock materialized along a mossy forest edge with fairy-bluebirds, minivets, and a brief but memorable view of Malabar Trogon in excellent soft light.
The lesson for guests was clear: in the Ghats, success often comes from staying present through the quiet spells and trusting the forest to reveal its own rhythm.
